I constantly try to think of creative ideas where things come to life and leave the drawing. In this piece I have created a drawing of a hot air balloon festival. Some of the balloons have come to life and have floated away. The balloons that are still partially attached to the paper are tugging at the paper causing it to be lifted off the table. See if you can find the people attending the festival who are involved in a variety of antics!
I enjoy surprising people with what I illustrate. In the wild, the lion has always been the predator to the zebra. I decided to have fun turning the tables on them. In this piece, I am drawing a group of mostly young male lions relaxing next to the water hole. As I evaluate my drawing while it’s taped to the wall, to my surprise, a zebra bursts through the paper, tearing the king of beasts from the group.
