Chocolate, chocolate, chocolate! I literally ate my way through this drawing, in part because it is one of the most technically difficult drawings that I have ever done. I wanted to add a whimsical element to what would otherwise be a serious still-life. If you look closely, you will see that I have taken a bite out of one of the pieces. See if you can find it!
I enjoy surprising people with what I illustrate. In the wild, the lion has always been the predator to the zebra. I decided to have fun turning the tables on them. In this piece, I am drawing a group of mostly young male lions relaxing next to the water hole. As I evaluate my drawing while it’s taped to the wall, to my surprise, a zebra bursts through the paper, tearing the king of beasts from the group.
