As I talked to my son about creating a new drawing, he mentioned the idea of a sloth and wondered what I could do with one. I accepted the challenge but how could I create a story about a sloth? The only thing that I could think of is that they are known for being slow. They move so slowly that moss grows on their fur. It was perplexing as to how I could illustrate their slowness. I came up with the idea of showing time passing by using the image of an ice cream cone being offered to the sloth and it is melting as he “quickly” reaches for it.
