A few years ago, a gentleman commissioned me to create a drawing just like “Escape,” but with giraffes. I didn’t want to recreate the same design, so I decided to add a new element: a giraffe coming out of the drawing to enjoy a bite of the artist’s lunch. I included my favorite foods: a BLT sandwich, milk and my wife’s homemade chocolate chip cookies. Making the food look realistic was an exciting challenge.
