As I considered producing a book of my work, I thought it would be important to illustrate how I create a drawing. I drew this piece for that purpose. Developing a strong narrative is one of the most time-consuming aspects of creating a drawing.
In some of my pieces, the story gets fairly complex. Since I was on a time crunch, I kept this on every basic. A giraffe in the African savanna has come to life while munching on some leaves in the tree top. He stares questioningly at the viewer, wondering why you interrupted his dinner.
