I love walking in the woods. Each tree is unique in its design and personality. When I used to create wildlife and nature drawings many years ago, I was thrilled when I found a tree with personality. The idea for this drawing came from my wife. A few years ago, she found a beautiful tree nestled next to a big rock on a river bank and thought it had a great design. She came up with the idea to have a drawing taped on the wall with leaves falling off of it. In my quest to find the perfect tree I found a fantastic oak in a woods near by. What was interesting about the tree is that 35 years ago I found the same tree while researching for a different drawing. When I was looking at some old photographs I noticed the same unique characteristics and realized that it must have really spoken to me.
